The chalky-clay soil of the 35 hectares surrounding the Château de La grille is planted with only one variety of grape, Cabernet Franc.

After a short maceration period, the grapes harvested before Sunrise are gently pressed and only the clearest of juices are kept for this vintage.

A vintage made following the traditional method, using gently pressed Cabernet Franc grapes that have only just ripened in order to preserve the freshness of the fruit needed for the delicacy of the bubbles and to obtain a pale and subtle salmon-pink colour.
